Vincent ends regular season with loss to Winterboro

The Vincent High School football team fell 20-6 on the road at Winterboro in its final regular season game Oct. 28.
Demauntey Johnson threw a 7-yard touchdown pass to Chris Brown in the fourth quarter for the Yellow Jackets’ only scoring play in the loss. The 2-point conversion attempt failed.
Johnson completed 9-of-18 passes for 115 yards with a touchdown and an interception in the loss.
Ryan Kelow caught two passes for 62 yards. Sedarius Lawson finished with four catches for 52 yards.
Shacorry Lilly led the Yellow Jackets with 48 rushing yards on 13 carries in the loss.
Brown led the Vincent defense with 12 tackles. Brown also recovered two fumbles.
Lilly recorded six tackles and forced two fumbles. Johnson also registered six tackles.
The Yellow Jackets (5-5) travel to Houston Academy in Dothan in the first round of the Alabama High School Athletic Association Class 2A playoffs Nov. 5.
