Dannie Blackwell, age 57, of Shelby passed away Sunday, Oct. 24, 2010 at home with his family. Funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2010, at Bolton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Daryl Hamaker officiating. Burial followed at Martin Memorial Cemetery. Visitation was held Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bolton Funeral Home.
Dannie retired from Alabama Power after 38 years of loyal service.
Mr. Blackwell is survived by his wife, Cathy Blackwell; son, Phillip (Genia) Blackwell; daughters, Michelle Blackwell, Kim (Mike) Mooney, Kelly Ray, Kacy (Morgan) Ingram; grandchildren, Brayden Blackwell, Dani Kate Blackwell, Brady Blackwell, Andi Blackwell, Neal Dennis, Nelson Dennis, Nealey Dennis, Romie Ingram, Riley Ingram; great grandson, Brodie Dennis; sisters, Bonnie (Bobby) Cagle, Judy (Don) Ardent, Becky Blackwell; brother, Bruce (Lynn) Blackwell and numerous other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
