CALERA — A Calera man died after an Oct. 23 domestic dispute in the Savannah Pointe subdivision, according to the Calera Police Department.
Lt. Chuck Holcomb said the incident occurred at the intersection of Savannah Club Drive and Little Sorrel Drive after married couple Vincent and Deandra Brown got in an argument. Around 7 p.m. Deandra left the house and got in her car in an attempt to leave. Vincent then climbed on the hood of the car. When Deandra hit the brakes, Vincent fell off the car and hit his head on the pavement.
He was transported to UAB medical center by Life Flight, Holcomb said. Since then he has passed away.
Deandra Dixon Brown, 32, was charged with domestic violence in the first degree. She was arrested and has since been released after making bond.
Holcomb said the case is still under investigation by the Calera Police.
