Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Judy Watkins, of Alabaster, are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Rena Watkins, to Mr. Daniel Murphree, of Hoover.

The couple was married on Oct. 10, 2010 at 4 p.m. at the Helena Wedding Chapel. The bridal party consisted of Maid-of-Honor Sarah Beth Watkins, junior bridesmaid Mary Grace Johnson, and flower girls Makenzie Hall and Selah Bradley. The groom’s party included Best Man Joseph Watkins and ring bearers Cody Ramm and Carson Bradley.  The bride carried a bouquet of long-stemmed white calla lilies and wore a simple satin strapless bustled gown with a matching white sash.

Rena is the granddaughter of Tom and June Johnson and Tommy and Margaret Watkins. Daniel is the son of Cheryl Star and Don Murphree, grandson of Edwin and Betty Dickerson and Bernie and Doris Murphree. Rena holds a Masters of Education from UAB while Daniel holds a Bachelors in Architectural Engineering from Virginia College.
