Mr. and Mrs. Henry and Becky Morris, of Fultondale, are pleased to announce the marriage of their daughter, Rebecca Elaine Higgins to Mr. Daniel Emmett Massey IV, of Marvel. Rebecca and Daniel were married at 5 p.m. on Aug. 7, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church in Montevallo. Rebecca is a graduate of Judson College and Daniel graduated from the Thomas Jones School of Law.

Daniel is the son of Mr. Daniel Emmett Massey III and Mrs. Sandy Pickett Massey, and grandson of Mrs. Lillian Tucker and the late Marvin “Bud” Pickett and the late Barbara and Frank Bissett. Rebecca is the granddaughter of the late Elaine Pickett and Bradley Morris and the late Doris and Henry E. Higgins Sr.

The bridal party included Matron of Honor Kim Rowlen, Maid of Honor Jane Zack, bridesmaids Kyla Higgins, Ashley Castleberry, Stacia Snyder, Carol Dailey, Gabby Watson, Karin Payton, Kaelyn Palmer and Flower Girls Auburn Higgins, Kylie Sherman and Kaitlyn Sherman. The groom’s party included Best Men, Caleb Pickett and Daniel Massey, groomsmen David Brown, Robert Rone, Chris Cleckley, Brad Watson, Rich Richardson, Chad Davis and Ring Bearer Collin Higgins.

Bouquets consisted of dark red roses. The bride’s bouquet included a blue pendant that belonged to her grandmother as the “something blue.” The bride wore a strapless white satin gown with a chapel train embellished with pearls. The bridesmaids wore strapless maroon dresses embellished with colored rhinestones.

A reception followed at the University of Montevallo Student Retreat Center.
