The Evangel Christian School football team fell 35-6 on the road at Tuscaloosa Christian in 8-man football action Sept. 17.

Hayden Brown threw a 13-yard touchdown pass to Aaron Walker for the Lightning’s only score in the third quarter.

Tuscaloosa Christian scored four rushing touchdowns and a passing touchdown.

Evangel finished with 198 total yards, including 129 passing yards and 69 rushing yards in the loss.

Brown completed 6-of-9 passes for 119 yards with a touchdown.

Josh Flanders led Evangel with 42 rushing yards.

Ben Taube led the defensive effort with 20 tackles. Flanders added 18 tackles and Brown recorded 15 tackles.

Evangel, which dropped to 3-2 overall with the loss, will host Shiloh Christian in its homecoming game Sept. 24.
