STERRETT — A motorcycle accident took the life of a Wilsonville man this weekend, according to the Alabama Department of Public Safety Highway Patrol Division.

Robert Douglas Bernier, 57, died at approximately 7:50 p.m. in Sterrett on Shelby County Road 55 on Sept. 11.

Bernier was driving a 1972 Harley Davidson, which was the only vehicle involved in the accident.

Responders transported the body directly to the coroner’s office.

Highway patrol is still investigating the accident.
