Vincent picks up second region victory

The Vincent High School football team picked up a second consecutive region victory Sept. 10 following a 14-8 win over Billingsley in a Class 2A, Region 4 battle.
Ben McKinney gave the Yellow Jackets an early 6-0 lead with his 2-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.
McKinney hauled in a 10-yard touchdown reception from Johnson in the second quarter to extend the lead to 14-0 heading into the locker room at halftime.
Billingsley capped the scoring with a touchdown and two-point conversion in the third quarter.
Vincent grinded out 169 yards of total offense in the win. McKinney led the Yellow Jackets with 79 rushing yards and a touchdown on 14 attempts.
Johnson added 48 yards on 12 attempts and completed 2-of-5 passes for 16 yards and a touchdown.
Chris Brown and Jace Green each recovered a fumble in the win.
