The Greater Shelby County Chamber of Commerce along with the South Shelby Chamber hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony for Adaptive Aquatics new facility, located in Wilsonville. Adaptive Aquatics is dedicated to the introduction, teaching and advancement of adapted water skiing for children and adults with physical disabilities. Joe Ray, through Adaptive Aquatics, has taught skiers with a broad range of physical disabilities including individuals with cerebral palsy, spinal cord injuries, spina bifida, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, post polio, kernicterus, acquired brain injuries, amputations and visual impairments.
