The Evangel Christian School volleyball team improved to 5-0 overall with a doubleheader sweep Aug. 28 in Phenix City against Georgia Alabama Christian School.

Evangel won the first match 25-18, 25-11, 25-18. Evangel was led by Rainey Ketcham with six service aces and four kills.

Meghan Byrd had eight aces and eight digs. Mariah Lawrence recorded seven assists.

Evangel won the second match 25-10, 25-16, 25-11.

Byrd led the Lightning with 12 aces and five kills.

Liz Ragland finished with nine aces, seven digs and four kills.
