Vincent High School defeated Victory Christian School 12-3 in the Yellow Jackets’ two-quarter preseason football jamboree Aug. 19.

Vincent fell behind 3-0 midway through the second quarter following a field goal by Victory Christian.

The Yellow Jackets rallied for the victory with two touchdowns in the final minutes of the second quarter.

Senior quarterback Ben McKinney scored the first touchdown for Vincent on a 45-yard touchdown run late in the second quarter.

During the next offensive series for Victory Christian, Vincent freshman cornerback Ryan Kelow intercepted a pass at midfield and returned it for a touchdown for the Yellow Jackets’ final touchdown in the game.

Vincent will open the 2010 season at home Aug. 27 against Maplesville.
