Justin Posey, a graduate of Montevallo High School, was recently chosen to represent the Alabama Future Farmers of America Association as its National FFA Officer Candidate.

Posey will travel to Indianapolis, where he will participate in an interview process during the 83rd National FFA Convention October 20-23.

If Posey is chosen for one of the six national officer positions, he will take a year off from his schooling at the University of Alabama to travel in service to the organization.

If Posey is chosen, he will be the first National FFA Officer from Montevallo and only the 14th from Alabama since the FFA was created in 1928.
