Four former University of Montevallo women’s soccer players were recently named to the Gulf South Conference All-Time team.
Stacey Balaam (2005-08) and Adele Jackson (2005-08) were named First Team, while Adrianne Peters (1999-02) was named Second Team and Corey Gros (2005-08) was named an honorable mention.
Balaam, who currently serves as the women’s soccer assistant coach at Montevallo, was a three-time First Team All-Gulf South selection during her career. Jackson was one of just three players in Gulf South history to be named four times to the conference’s First Team. Peters was a three-time All-Gulf South First Team selection and was the first women’s soccer player at Montevallo to be named an Academic All-American.
Gros was also an Academic All-American and was a three-time All-Gulf South selection including two first team selections.
The University of West Florida led the conference in selections with 14, while Christian Brothers University had 10. Montevallo and Lincoln Memorial, which are no longer part of the Gulf South Conference, tied with four each.
