RealtySouth has encouraged and empowered its sales associates and employees to find creative ways to keep their company strong in the face of this challenging business environment by submitting ways to save the company money or generate money.
The top idea was rewarded with a monetary prize.
There were so many ideas submitted, Realty South officials said, they divided the contest into the four top categories: reduce paper, offer direct deposits of commission checks, adjust thermostats and reduce the use of Styrofoam cups.
The overall submission was to reduce the use of paper. Some ideas submitted to save paper were: scanning instead of printing or faxing, reusing copy paper, copy on both sides, reading documents on the computer instead of printing out to read and send more documents via email rather than fax.
All of the paper savings ideas were put into a hat and a winner was drawn.
Jordan Pettinato from the Relocation Department won the War on Waste contest with an entry to reduce paper usage in the Relocation Department.
