Alabaster residents soon will have another culinary offering, as Panera Bread is scheduled to open in the Colonial Promenade in late October.

The restaurant will be located at the northern end of the Promenade’s second phase off U.S. 31. The second phase now includes Best Buy, Olive Garden and several other stores and restaurants.

“It looks like that location is set to open at the end of the last week in October,” said Panera spokeswoman Kate Antonacci. “They have the 27th listed, and I imagine that’s pretty firm.”
