Alabama Power is working to upgrade the power lines along Shelby County 47 in Chelsea.

Spokesperson Hollie Bradley said the company would be finished with the lines by 4 p.m. today. The upgrade is a scheduled service.

Bradley said customers in the Shelby County 47 area might experience temporary power outages, but power would be restored by 4 p.m.

Traffic should not be affected by the work.
