Hoover’s RE/MAX Advantage South is adding new real estate agents – 27 of them, to be exact.

After Genny Williams left Keller Williams Realty in late April, 27 of her former team members elected to transfer with her to the RE/MAX Advantage location on Valleydale Road. They brought more than 200 listings with them to their new company.

Williams said she made the move because of RE/MAX’s brand recognition and because owners Robert and Vicki Scott are well respected in the real estate industry.

“I felt it was a good business decision, and it was going to be a smart business decision for anybody that I was already in business with,” she said. “It wasn’t something I had to think about too much.”

She said all the agents made the move together because they work well together and wanted to keep the team together.

“(There’s) a family feel, where we connect with each other and have a good time learning from each other,” Williams said.

The Valleydale Road location is now No. 2 in market share for number of active listings in Birmingham.
