Chelsea Youth Baseball from April 7

Chelsea’s Farm League continued play Tuesday with the Rays, Orioles, Red Sox and White Sox coming out on top.
Farm League–5 and 6 year olds
– The Rays defeated the Cardinals, 10-5, Tuesday night. Ethan Shirley and Dalton Reames led the Rays going 4-for-4 at the plate along with Brandon Roberts going 3-for-4. Christian Kallaher was perfect at the plate going 3-for-3 and Luke Gann went 2-for-3.
– In a battle of unbeatens, the Orioles escaped with a narrow 21-20 victory over the Cubs to remain undefeated. The game was tight throughout as the Orioles started the bottom of the last inning down by four. Logan Shores hit a single for the game winning RBI, scoring Logan Eiler. Tyler Hardin was 4-for-4 for the winning Orioles. Carson Rogers was 5-for-5 with two home runs and 9 RBIs for the Cubs.
Farm League- 7 and 8 year olds
– The Red Sox defeated the Orioles, 8-2, handing the O’s their first loss of the season. The game was a tight defensive struggle for the first three innings as the Orioles held a 2-1 lead going into the bottom of the fourth inning. However, the Red Sox erupted for seven runs in the inning and extended the lead to 8-2. Kyle Travelstead led the Red Sox going 2-for-2 with two RBIs. Trent Howard chipped in two RBIs as well. Allen Grayson and Stephen Fant both had big hits for the Orioles.
In other 7 an 8 year old action, the White Sox defeated the Tigers 19-0.
