Touring, shopping and exploring South Shelby County is lots of fun for everyone!
Visiting museums and historical sites offer many visitors a variety of interests.
The 1854 Old Shelby County Courthouse located in Columbiana and the George Washington Museum has many artifacts to explore. Both museums have curators available to lead you and your group in guided tours.
Chelsea has a unique historical marker for the “Old Quinn Cemetery” located off Hwy 47.
Shelby Iron Works Park located off Hwy 47 in Shelby is rich in historical information.
After looking into our past through all of the preservations, you might get a little itch to do some shopping!
South Shelby County offers shopping from our old town feel of our Main Streets to our uptown feel of big box retail stores.
Chelsea has been progressively growing and offers some regional choices in shopping and foods.
Columbiana, Wilsonville, and Vincent are cozy up and coming bedroom communities offering Main Street shopping, housing selective businesses offering unique goods and services. Westover and Harpersville located on Hwy 280 have progressive housing growth underway and offer unique venues to explore such as the Morgan Creek Vineyard and the Old Baker Farm.
