Inverness seniors will have a new living option once local developer Daniel Corporation opens Danberry at Inverness, a retirement community that will span 36 acres.
The community will include 48 cottage homes as well as apartments, located on the north side of Inverness Center Drive.
Vice President for Senior Housing Randy Dabney said the cottage homes will be available in late spring, and the apartments will be open in October.
The residences will have a variety of amenities available, including membership at Inverness Country Club, gardening services, concierge services, among others.
Such perks are essential to win over today’s seniors, Dabney said.
“It’s very important because the seniors of today are better educated, more traveled and require different things than the communities that were built in the past 10 years,” he said. “The seniors of today have a lot more education and want a lot more things. Those different communities don’t respond to that. We want to respond to that.”
