Marlene Salas-Provance, associate professor of communication science and disorders at UM, was a panel member for an invited presentation on “Infusion of Multicultural Material into a University Curriculum” at the recent American Speech-Language and Hearing (ASHA) convention in Chicago. Salas-Provance received recognition as a Fellow of ASHA, one of its highest honors.

She also completed her four-year term as coordinator of ASHA’s Division of Communication Science and Disorders in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Populations, a 1,200-member division.
