Lisa Thomaston has been named the new executive director of the Calera Chamber of Commerce.

Chamber President Eric Snyder made the announcement Friday afternoon. Thomaston, a lifelong Calera resident, is an active fundraiser and coordinator of school and youth organizations.

“We know that she will be a great asset to the Chamber,” Snyder said in an e-mail announcement to members.

Thomaston will make her public debut on Nov. 18 during the chamber’s monthly luncheon at the Calera Community Center. Gary Ray of the Alabama Department of Transportation will be the keynote speaker.
