Julie Covington of Helena received the Stewart Teacher Education Endowed Scholarship, worth $2,500, from the University of Alabama at Birmingham’s School of Education.

She is the daughter of Bart and Lori Strouss of Helena and David Covington.

Covington recently graduated from Pelham High School.
