Greg and Susan Winslett of Montevallo announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Susan Boyd, to Jamie Joseph Griffin, son of Danny Griffin of Helena and Kelly Griffin of Montevallo.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Maude Guy of Montevallo and Ray and Bobbie-Dee Winslett of Montevallo. She attends the University of Montevallo, where she will graduate in December with a bachelor’s degree in mass communications.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Sherwood and Beverly Stamps of Montevallo; Chip and Claudia Maxwell of Alabaster; and Frank and Martha Griffin of Maylene. He is a graduate of the University of Montevallo with a bachelor’s degree in business management. He is currently employed by the Mid-State Farmer’s Co-op in Columbiana.

The wedding is planned for July 26, 2008, at five o’clock in the evening at Spring Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Montevallo
