Willie H. Battle and Cynthia M. Battle of Columbiana announce the engagement of their daughter Brittany L. Battle to Theoangelo Perkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theolphus Perkins of Harpersville.

The bride elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Will Battle and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Johnson of Columbiana. Ms. Battle is a senior at Auburn University Montgomery and plans to attend law school in 2009.

Mr. Perkins is the grandson son of Mrs. Gladys Perkins and the late Rev. J.P. Perkins of Shelby and the late Mr. and Mrs. Solon McGinnis of Harpersville. He is a graduate of The University Of Alabama and is currently Mayor of Harpersville and Pastor of Liberty Christian Church of Harpersville.

The wedding will be held June 7, 2008 at 2 p.m. at The Church of Brook Hills in Inverness, with a reception to follow
