Jan Gibbs Brown, 54, was born Jan. 31, 1954, and passed away April 16, 2008.

Jan is survived by her husband, Jerry Brown (Sterrett); two children, Rachel (Brian) Davis of Alabaster and David (Leann) Brown of Montevallo; one sister, Leslie Gayle Gibbs (Charles Berk) of Pelham.

Jan was preceded in death by her father, Leslie O. Gibbs, and her mother, Lucille Gibbs.

Jan enjoyed being employed at Protective Life Insurance Company for more than 30 years.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Brown, Tommy Davis, Barry Brown, Kenny Myers, Brandon Leatherwood and Gary Caroll.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until service time at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 18 at Kilgroe Funeral Home Leeds Chapel.

Burial will be at Forest Crest Cemetery in Irondale.
