A Harpersville police dog that escaped his pin Saturday has been safely found and returned to his officer.

Police Chief David Latimer said the dog was located Monday evening.

Hunter, a yellow male Labrador, was missing when his officer went to feed him Saturday night.

The dog, a member of the Shelby County Drug Taskforce, lived in Childersburg with a Harpersville officer
