Chris Johnson of Calera won first place in digital art for middle schools in the Shelby County Superintendent’s Art Show.

Johnson also won honorable mention at the state level.

Johnson was honored at the state board of education meeting, and he was also recognized at an awards luncheon in Montgomery on Feb. 14.

Chris is a student in Katherine Stewart’s class
