Beloved wife and loving mother Minnie F. Vernon, age 83, departed this earthly home for her Heavenly home Thursday, Feb. 28, 2008.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 1 at 11 a.m. at Rockco’s Funeral Home in Montevallo with the Rev. Donny Acton and the Rev. Mark Davis officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Garden in Calera. Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 29, 2008 from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived by her husband, Luther Vernon Sr.; daughters, Rosemary (Charles) Augur, Jessie (Dale) Dunnaway, Frances (Don) Bailey, and Beth (Stanley) Burnett; sons, Luther J. Vernon and Jimmy Vernon; sisters, Ruth E. Smith and Ruby L. Smith; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren
