Brakefield enlists with U.S. Army

James W. Brakefield has joined the United States Army under the Delayed

Entry Program.

Brakefield, a 1999 graduate of Pinson Valley High School, will report this month to basic training at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga.

He is the son of Brenda K. Jansen of Pelham and James R. Brakefield of Pinson
