Falcons’ baseball sweeps Stillman

No. 15 University of Montevallo swept a baseball doubleheader over Stillman College in Tuscaloosa on Sunday.
UM collected 18 hits, including four from Eric Moore, on its way to an 18-6 victory in game one. Ryan Norman and Daniel Furuto added three hits each.
UM held only a 1-run lead, 4-3, in the third inning, but took advantage of two Stillman errors in the fourth and break the game open with seven unearned runs. Furuto, Brantly Clay and Dustin Rhodes each had home runs in the game.
Chris Cooper provided the offense in game two, collecting two of the Falcons’ 10 hits and four RBI, including a 3-run home run in the fourth inning.
Brandon Aldridge collected the win on the mound in game two, while Heath Wilson was credited with the game one victory.
UM will host No. 2 Columbus State University Tuesday at 2:30 p.m.
