Billie Gertrude Baker born in Alabama on March 30, 1926, passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2008 at the age of 81 in a local hospital. She was a resident of Alabaster.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 1 p.m., with a visitation starting two hours prior to the services Sunday at Charter Funeral Home. Burial was in Elliottsville Cemetery. The Rev. Mitchell Underwood officiated.

Survivors include her daughters, Nancy Chiarella (Joe) of Hoover and Judy Tidmore (Ricky) of Alabaster; six grandchildren, Lisa Acton, Tracy Bentley, Jeffrey Tidmore (Jill), Robin Ellis (Jake), Jackie Chiarella and Maryrose DeArman; and five great-grandchildren.
