Jimmy and Susan Maddox of Montevallo proudly announce the engagement of their daughter, Abbi Maddox to Jonathan Rachels, son of Phillip and Diane Rachels of Calera.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Eason and Mary Maddox of Alabaster and Emmett and Barbara Waldrop of Alabaster.

Maddox graduated from Montevallo High School in 2003. She attended the University of Montevallo and graduated in 2007 with a bachelor’s in business administration with a concentration in marketing.

Maddox is currently employed by Docupak in Alabaster.

The groom is the grandson of Donald and Doris Rachels of Calera, Dena Holley of Jemison and the late Ray Holley, and Johnny and Martha Smith of Tuscaloosa.

He is a 2002 graduate of Jemison High School and Casey and Son Horseshoeing School in 2007.

Rachels is currently employed by L& Land and Timber in Calera.

The wedding will be held at 4 p.m. March 29, 2008, at the American Village.
