The American Village history and civic education center in Montevallo has announced plans for its second annual Christmas by Candlelight on Friday, Nov. 30, and Saturday, Dec. 1, from 4:30 to 9 p.m. each of those days. Highlights include: a grand lighting ceremony hosted by Gov. and Mrs. Patrick Henry of Virginia, a family parade across the Village Green led by Father Christmas, luminaries and carolers, Christmas music at the Colonial Chapel, the Southern Living Showcase House and more.
