Bonnie Jean Smith, 77, of Millbrook died Thursday, November 8, 2007 at Prattville Baptist Hospital in Prattville.

She was born on Tuesday, November 19, 1929 in Stonewall, Miss., daughter of the late Tom Melton and the late Glady Boykin Melton.

She was a homemaker.

Surviving are her two Sons, Monte Melvin Ross of Mableton, Ga., and Donald Wayne Ross of Millbrook; sister, Joyce White of Alabaster; brother, Ray Melton of Pascagoula, Miss.; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Miles W. Smith.

Friends were received from 5-8 p.m., Friday, November 9, 2007 at Martin Funeral Home.

Services were held Saturday, November 10, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Braxton Baker and the Rev. Harold Garrison officiating.

Interment will follow at Thorsby Memorial Cemetery in Thorsby.
