Graveside service for Stanley Sawyer, age 76, of Wilsonville, was at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 8, 2007, at Shelby Garden of Rest Cemetery. Visitation was Sunday from 5:30-7 p.m., at Bolton Letlow Funeral Home.

Mr. Sawyer, who passed away Friday, Oct. 5, 2007 at a local hospital, was born June 3, 1931, in Shelby County. He is preceded in death by his wife, Onzele B. “Pete” Sawyer; parents, Walter and Lela Seale Sawyer; and a brother, Walter Alton Sawyer.

He is survived by his step-sons, Earl (Rosemary) Brasher, Joe (Ellen) Brasher, Jimmy (Marilen) Brasher; sister-in-law, Gladys Sawyer; niece, Joy (Rick) Brown; nephew, Walter Martin (Gina) Sawyer; nine step-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
