Funeral service for Bonnie Hughes, age 66, of Columbiana, will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8, 2007, at Bolton-Letlow Chapel. Service will be officiated by the Rev. Phillip Coffman. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Gardens. Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hughes, who passed away Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2007, at her residence, was born Oct. 24, 1940 in Shelby County. Mrs. Hughes was a lifelong resident of Shelby County where she worked at Strickland’s Department Store for 26 years until it closed. She then worked for Davis Drug Co. for 14 years until her retirement in August 2006.

She is survived by her husband, Preston O. Hughes; children, Kerry O. (Jennifer) Hughes, Paula (Keith) Wilder; brother, Jimmy M. Dennis (Teddy); grandchildren, Josh Hallford, Emery Wilder; Jennifer Hallford, Rebecca Wilder, Mitchell Hughes, Brent Hughes; great-granddaughter, Alexa Grace Carlisle; and a host of other family and friends.
