Virginia Elaine Rawls of Calera and John Richard Dudley Jr. of Columbiana were married at 3 p.m. on June 30, 2007 at the Hargis Memorial Chapel in Chelsea.

The bride is the daughter of Jim and Ginny Rawls of Calera. She is the granddaughter of Gene and the late Elaine Smith of Hoover and the late Estus and the late Willie Mae Rawls of Seminary, Mo.

The groom is the son of Jack and Donna Dudley of Columbiana and the grandson of George and Judy Dudley of Athens and Dean and Kristine Andrews of Hudson, N. H.

There was a summer bouquet of pink and green flowers. The bride wore a white sheath dress with a beaded lace overlay, an umpire waist with sweetheart neckline and white organza straps.

The bridesmaids wore sleeveless, sage green dresses with an umpire waist and a pink satin sash. The matron of honor was Nicole Sandor of Salt Lake City, Utah, a friend of the bride who currently resides in Tunbridge Wells, England.

The bride was given away by her father Jim Rawls. The attendants were Jamie Rawls and Serrena Upton of Calera, sisters of the bride; Elizabeth and Hannah Dudley of Columbiana, sisters of the groom; Shalyn Levesque of Litchfield, N.H., a cousin of the groom; Kaylee and Karlee Tate of Pelham, friends of the bride.

The flower girls were Chloe Upton of Calera, a niece of the bride; Laura and Emma Dudley of Columbiana, cousins of the groom. They wore a white satin dress with miniature veils.

The ring bearer was Caden Upton of Calera, a nephew of the bride.

The best man was James Dudley of Columbiana, brother of the groom. The groomsmen were Philip Dudley of Columbiana, brother of the groom; David Levesque of Litchfield, N.H., cousin of the groom; Cole Wright of Calera, a nephew of the bride.

The bride and groom are both employed at the Christian Life Fellowship in Calera.

The reception was located at the Hargis Museum and Reception Hall. The entertainment at the reception was a string quartet.

The couple honeymooned on a cruise through the Hawaiian Islands and will then reside in Columbiana
