William “Cherokee” O’Neal Knight

William O’Neal Knight (“Cherokee,” “O’Neal,” “Bill”), 55, died Thursday, Aug. 2, 2007.
He was a Vietnam War Veteran. Following retirement from a 22-year career as a commercial truck driver, Cherokee enjoyed life as an avid fisherman and cook, and was a devoted son, husband and patriarch until his heavenly ascension.
Thanking God for, and cherishing each memory of, Cherokee are: his wife of 22 years, Pauline Knight; mother, Virginia Yates; daughters, Tammy Dillenkoffer and Amanda Collins; son, Shawn Wiblin; brother, James “Tony” Knight; sisters, Susan Wood and Gwendolyn Acton; grandchildren, Jessica, Karissa, Koty, Ashton and Christina; and a host of relatives and friends.
Graveside service was held Saturday, August 4 at Moore’s Cemetery at 2 p.m. with a memorial fellowship following at the home of Tammy Dillenkoffer. Ridout’s Roebuck Chapel directed
