Businesses hold ribbon cuttings

Alota Scents Gift Shop, on Old Highway 280 in Chelsea, and Wallace, Ellis, Fowler and Head, on Main Street in Columbiana, recently held ribbon cuttings to celebrate their openings. Also, Full Moon BBQ in Alabaster celebrated its first birthday with a ribbon ceremony.

Celebrating with Alota Scents Owner Sharon Pugh were Becky Landers, South Shelby Chamber of Commerce friends, family and Mayor Earl Niven with wife June.

Guests present at the Wallace, Ellis, Fowler and Head opening included Butch and Diane Ellis, Jessie and Johnathon Davis, Nathan and Ella Brasher, Frank Head, Jennifer Head, Jacquelin Head, Marjorie Head, Sarah Head, Conrad and Rachel Fowler, Bill and Beverly Justice, Paula Head, Vonda Felton, Stephanie Glass, Jancie Culver, Dan Head, Lanice Brasher, Celeste Fulmer, Commissioner Corley Ellis and Mayor Allan Lowe.

Full Moon BBQ owners Naseem and Tina Ajlouny and Manager Will Cholewinski marked their first year along with staff, City of Alabaster officials and ambassadors from the Greater Shelby County Chamber of Commerce.
