The fruit of righteousness will be peace. The effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.

My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.

&045;&045; Isaiah 32:17-18

It is amazing to me even in my own life sometimes how we as the people of God don&8217;t get the promised rest God has for us.

We easily run ourselves ragged, sleeping but not resting, worrying about everything until we are weary, forgetting God desires that we have rest.

The word of God says:

&8220;There remains, then, a Sabbath &045;&045; rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God&8217;s rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his.&8221; Hebrews 4:9-10

Rest is defined as not to move, a place of pause, a pause for relaxation; put something in a resting position as for support or steadying. &8220;Rest your head on my shoulder.&8221;

So you have to ask yourself the question, &8220;If God desires this for me, do I really have rest?&8221;

Have I really been casting all my cares on God, or am I trying to handle it myself?

God says in I Peter 5:7, &8220;cast all your cares on me, because I care about you.&8221;

You see, when you accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you become a member in the family of God. Your one of the people of God, and the Lord says there is rest.

Rest for your soul, even while things don&8217;t seem to be going right.

The Lord says, my brother, my sister, &8220;I&8217;ve got it all in control, I just need you to pray to me, call to me, worship me and praise me.

Our God is great and greatly to be praised. Why? Because He loves me, and He&8217;s given me rest, rest in my storm. I can take a stand because He never puts more on me than I can bear, and when the Lord has tested

and tried me, I shall come forth with a mighty testimony that the Lord was with me and did not allow my enemies or my circumstance to triumph over me.

Go and get your rest. Make your mind up; I&8217;m going to have peace. I&8217;m going to enjoy my life and not get weary because I&8217;m about to reap a blessing because I don&8217;t quit.
