Warren Rascoe Cobb

Rascoe Cobb, 85, of Calera, died Friday, March 16, 2007 at the home of his daughter, Janice Stone in Calera, surrounded by his family.
Cobb was born in Chilton County on Jan. 4, 1922 to Lorenza and Eunice Scott Cobb.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Mary West Cobb; son, Milton; sisters, Flora Blake, Flossie Ellison Merle Wilkins, Louise Tatum and brothers Cois Cobb and Herlen Cobb. Cobb served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Following the war, he took courses to learn carpentry and spent his entire life working as a carpenter.
He lived his adult life in Calera.
He was a long time member of Calera Baptist Church, where he had served as deacon. Cobb is survived by his daughter, Janice (Bob) Stone; son, Mark Cobb; grandchildren, David (Krista) Stone, Amy Stone (Michael) Atchison, Adam (Kim) Cobb and Mary Beth Cobb and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation was Saturday, March 17 at 6 p.m. at Calera Baptist Church. The funeral service was held Sunday, March 18 at 2 pm at the church. He was buried at Salem Cemetery. The Rev. Hal Warren presided.
