Indian Springs has a new face representing the town.
Kelly Duncan Rasco has recently joined the municipality as town clerk. Originally from Chelsea, Rasco, along with her husband and two children, are proud to now call Indian Springs home.
Rasco said she accepted the clerk position because of its flexibility. &8220;This is a part-time job. It gives me the freedom to work from home so I can be with my children,&8221; Rasco said.
Rasco has worked in software solutions for the past eight years. The last four years, she worked for AmSouth Bank as a project manager in mortgage technology.
When she is not changing diapers and wiping off finger paint, Rasco is the coordinator for Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) at Valleydale Baptist Church. She is also involved with party sales for Thirty-One gifts.
&8220;I&8217;m new to municipal government, but the mayor, council members and other staff have been very willing to train me and share information. They&8217;ve been very encouraging and great to work with,&8221; Rasco said
