Mrs. Snipes, age 45, born in Alabama on May 25, 1961, passed away on Nov. 6, 2006 in her home. She was a resident of Calera. Funeral services were held at Charter Funeral Home on Wednesday at 2 p.m. with burial in Salem Cemetery in Calera. Reverend Brett Hogland officiated. Visitation was held on Charter Funeral Home on Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m.

Mrs. Snipes is survived by her husband, Barry Wayne Snipes; mother, Betty Payton and father, J.D. Payton of Calera; daughters, Stephanie Snipes and Kayla Snipes both of Calera; son, Jason Snipes of Calera; sisters, Joyce (Randy) Tidwell and Barbara (Jerry) Moore both of Overton. Pallbearers are Jeffrey Moore, Tony Moore, Darrell Tidwell, Terrall Tidwell, Greg Barefield and Jason Snipes. Arrangements are under the direction of Charter Funeral Home in Calera.
