The Brierfield Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department held a special membership election meeting recently and announced the new officer positions.

Chief is Spruce McRee, deputy chief is Donny Sisco, assistant chief and safety officer is Ray Sisco, senior captain is Ben Fletcher, lieutenant and station manager is Kenner Patton and lieutenant and secondaries is John Horton.

The Brierfield Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department responds to approximately 125 medical, rescue and fire calls each year.
