Helen Goodwin Lunceford, age 76, of Montevallo passed away Aug. 20, 2006 at her home.

Funeral services were held Aug. 22, 2006 at 2 p.m. at South Shelby Baptist Church in Calera. She was laid to rest at Shelby Memory Gardens in Calera. The Rev. Jack Spinks presided.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Clyde) Layton, of Montevallo, Carolyn (Richard) Tucker, of Calera, Paulette (Gary) Shelton, of Titus, Marlene (Leon) Cross, of Montevallo, and Kay (David) Reed, of Montevallo; sons, Larry (Brenda) Lunceford, of Titus, and Donald (Lisa) Lunceford, of Jemison; 23 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren and 14 step-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Pauline Abernathy, husband, David Glenn Lunceford and son, David Michael Lunceford.
