Funeral service for Cecile Leonard Scott, age 87, of Columbiana, was at 11 a.m., Friday, Aug. 18, 2006 at Bolton-Letlow Chapel.

Burial followed in Old Columbiana City Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday from 6-8 p.m. at Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home.

Mrs. Scott, who passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 15, 2006 at a local nursing home, was born on March 6, 1919 in Lum. Mrs. Scott attended Lanier High School and graduated from Troy State University. She retired from the Shelby County Library after 16 years as director. Mrs. Scott was a member at Columbiana United Methodist Church. She is preceded in death by husbands, Frances Eugene Leonard, Sr. and Leo Scott, son, Frances Eugene Leonard, Jr., parents, Irby and Gladys Whittle and

brother, Paul Whittle.

She is survived by her grandsons, James M. (Heather) Leonard, Michael Leonard and several nieces and nephews.
