Mary Elizabeth Lokey Revis

Mary is enjoying a glorious homecoming celebration with departed family and friends, Mom and Dad Lokey, husband Norb, children Luayne and Larry, brother Albert, great nephew Joseph, and many friends and classmates.
She leaves behind her son N. Alan Revis (Ruby), son-in-law Clyde E. Kendrick (Shirley), daughter-in-law Nadine B. Revis, her sister Fran Phelps, sister-in-law Frances K. Lokey, grandchildren Patty, Ronnie, Toney, Mary, Bobby, Lisa, and Russell, 17 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews to continue God&8217;s work on earth. Mary lived a dedicated Christian life and set a standard that we all can follow.
Mary was a pillar of the community serving many positions in the Wilsonville Baptist Church; Sunday school teacher, Children&8217;s department from 1950-1980, Adult department from 1986-1990 and active in many areas until her illness. She was also a member and officer in the Eastern Star. She was one of the first women to become a member in 1988 of Civitan International, serving as President and other positions of the local club and past Area Director of Area III, and District Lt Governor. She was awarded Civitan of the Year 1988-1989, received the District Honor Key in 1993, and named a Foundation Fellow in 1996. She was given a commendation from Governor Guy Hunt for her work with the Alabama Reunion &8216;89.
Mary worked for Alabama Soil Conservation Services until her retirement in 1976 after 20 years service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society, Hospice Services of Alabama, Civitan International, or to a favorite charity.
The family would like to express special appreciation to her doctors, nurses, caregivers, friends, neighbors, and relations. God bless you all for the loving care you provided.
Visitation was 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., Sunday, July 30, at the Wilsonville Baptist Church with a funeral service immediately following. Brother Jim Smith officiated. Interment at Pinelawn Gardens, Columbiana, AL.
