Graveside service for Joel Wayne Barnes, age 55 of Columbiana, were at 3 p.m., Friday, July 28, 2006 at Old Chapel Cemetery.

Mr. Barnes, who passed away on Friday, July 27, 2006 at home, was born on February 2, 1951 in Shelby County, AL.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie; daughter, Jody (Sean) McKinley; mother, Margie Barnes; brother, Bo (Rosa) Barnes, all of Columbiana; nieces Tracie (Dan) Taylor of Macon, GA and Crystal Leatherwood, of Columbiana; nephew, Owen Barnes of Columbiana; and sister-in-law, Linda (Johnny) Fowler of West Blocton, AL.

Mr. Barnes was a member of the American Legion and Prospect Baptist Church. He was the loving father of Jody Lynn and husband to Debbie for 26 years. He had a dog named Spanky for 10 years that he loved. He was always loving and always loved.
