Farris Alexander, 67, of Columbiana died Thursday, May 11, 2006, at home. He was born Aug. 9, 1938, in Jefferson County, Ala.

He served in the U.S. military for six years and was a resident of Shelby County for more than 60 years. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Lee Alexander; his sons, Chris (Cathy) Alexander, Danny Alexander, Johnny (Kim) Alexander and Wayne (Debbie) Alexander; his daughters, Kim (Brandon) Joseph, Sherri (Jeff) Ableman and Teresa Alexander; his siblings, Eltis Alexander, Bonnie McAnnally, Kate New and Duke Alexander; 13 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Service was May 13 at 11 a.m. at Bolton-Letlow Chapel. Burial followed in Pinelawn Gardens, Bolton-Letlow Funeral Home directing
